Yes i did think about that but reading through the other threads and seeing the amount of guys pre ordering, i'd be amazed if there's enough to go round. Now that SV have only recently come up with a fix, i thought i might jump on their band wagon.

could I get some advice from the seniors - I've had a starview 1 for a few years, I've had to do a few firmware upgrades to rectify all those problems we've had over the years other than that its been fine.
So I'm no expert on it but i can get by. Will there be a fix for the latest lost channels on the starview1 do you think,or is too old now ?
I'm thinking of getting something newer ,whats the best box out there nowadays , what gets the best software support for fixes. I would,nt mind getting one with a HDD for recording. So any advoce from those of you with a passion for this sort of thing would be much appreciated

the other starview boxes ie 1/2/3 will not be fixed as far as i have been told

the only other box that has full support ie fixed in 1 day is the kryptview one which has been the only box to have been fixed on all occasions both in Uk and Ireland

so if it is support you are looking for its got to be the Kryptview

Kryptview will be back in stock next week hopefully and their should be plenty to go around if you get a starview and it goes off the next time do you want to wait another 4 months for a fix unlike the kryptview fixed the next day your choice

did you do a factory reset after putting the new firmware on your box also you need to press the set default key as well then enable the key code

Hello, maybe I am wrong but I know that as far as Cork is concerned

    Dbox2 is working
    Starview 1,2,3 are working
    Dreambox is working

By the way thanks for the Starview 4 fix

Thanks for the quick reply , I've just had a look for the Krypstar and they dont seem to be widely available .It looks like they're just bringing out a new one, the Evolution A750 is this right? Are there any current suppliers or shall I just hunt around on the net for one
