My 25 year old AIWA stereo (AM-FM, CD, dual cassettes) finally gave up the ghost. I'm looking for an AM-FM shelf system with a built-in MP3 player which can accept a USB thumb drive loaded with MP3 files. I don't need CD capability, nor to I want to jack in an external MP3 player. I'm having a difficult time finding such a system. Any suggestions?
I'm bumping this thread because I haven't gotten any replies in the past year. My Sansa MP3 player (5cm x 3cm) has ALL the functionality that I require (Display, Shuffle, Sort By Name, etc). I can't believe no one manufactures an AM/FM stereo receiver which can read a USB thumb drive loaded with MP3 files. I've seen them in automobiles, but not home audio. Anyone?
Better to get a unit that has both a dock for mp3 player & usb & optional extra a bt to make it 3 .If one stuffs out the other can be used
I was able to find all the features that I wanted in the Sony Micro Music System With Bluetooth - CMTSBT100, for <$160. Thanks for the replies.
Found another almost the same. https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Str...-2&keywords=sony+cmtsbt100+micro+music+system
A little more costly, but basically the same. Just remember to format your USB stick to FAT32 or it won't read.
my 200$ home theatre system does all that.sorry if im missing your point here but mine does cd,blueray, dvd, usb, and has fm capability.good luck finding any am stations today.lol
