still not sorted any advice....

hi all and happy new year...still not got my red eurovox up and working download new version when i started download it said version 2.0 and it started download successfull plugged back in did powerscan still found no channels i know it,s not my aerial as my other box is working fine,at the bottom before the download it said upload ect should i have uploaded first and pressed the download button at the bottom or top, ive read loads of posts and i still cant figure out what im doing wrong,ive even tried manually putting the frequencies in from other box still no joy before i stared the scan i done a factory reset on my symbol rate in which ive checked and its still saying 8% at the bottom before i start the scan it does jump up to green but still nothing sorry its a bit long just trying to explain best i can would really appreciate all the help i can get as ive beed trying for days it,s satring to really get on my t..s now..

 

first of all did you do a facory reset before doing a power scan. and wat network you on make sure you ave the correct symbol rate. then do a power scan. if you need any more help just let me know but dat shud do it

 

hiya thank you...first of all i did a factory reset as soon as i put box on signal was still at 8% after that my symbol rate is 6887 thats what my other box runs of just thinking if ive downloaded properly do you upload at the bottom the bottom download first or just hit the download button at the top and do you think it will work if i reflash with april firmware its so annoying when its probley something ive not done right ny guess is the download part..really appreciate your help

 

are you def that 6887 is your symbol rate? and when your flashing just press the dowload button on the top and thats it. well thats all i do anyway, but it sounds like a symbol rate prob to me.wat network you on and what country you in. ill try my best get you up and running

 

your a star ill try and flash it again later my other box works on 6887 im in teeside not tried they one, before i down load were it says upload ect it says browse should that be left empty or should i be putting something in there,ive also put emm to enable before scan and set n..as my default key put new c....s in still nothing found level and quality just jumping from 8 to 80 odd,ill try and flash it again r u ok to help me through it...

hiya yeah ive looked at that when ive got the download bit on the screen there is always something in the browse section how do i leave that empty,and should it say version 2.0 its that the latest firmware do you think putting april 08 back on would get it up and running..thanks

 

you mention your other box is working ok so if you are using a splitter disconnect and try a direct feed

 

it wudn't hurt to try just be carful. is your box a clone?

 

This sounds like the 8% problem as mentioned in HiTecks guide, there is a fix for the MAX V box. What type is your other box that is working?

hiya its not a clone it came preloaded so all i had to do was a factory reset all was ok it only went of a couple of weeks ago i have the little adaptor thing thats comes with the box on the aerial no spliter is used my other box is the eurovox slimeline model and has firmware kuro on and that box is working perfectly...you are right it has that 8% signal thing the progress will get to about 300 or something then just stick at that,but before that it was jumping fom 1 to 90 odd thought it might ofound something but it,s not,they 8% fix is only for mav v is,nt it plz help im really pulling me hair out i just cant understand it going of onto that..does anyone know what other firmware might fix this or maybe i should try and go back to april firmware see if that works ill wait and se your opinions..

 

ok try the april firmware and see how it goes.

 

ill try that shall i try the 10th or the forth,dont supose it matters i will also try the direct feed into the box,i just know it,s not going to find out as before i start the scan it,s showing 8% thanks alot for your help let you know how i get on..

 

hi everyone still no joy put old firmware back on april signal and quality not leaving 8% so that was even worse and least it was moving with other firmware really stumped on what to do now,do you think a signal booster will work as me other box is fine just think its the box any ideas anyone would be very appreciated..

thanks for those links but eurovox max v seems to most problem and thats has a fix,but dont seem to find one with my,n for the 8%...i reflashed last night i also found a channel dump for my aera teeside dated 28.10.08 i upload and download this when i switched back on it went to bbc one just said no or bad signal tried a factory reset powewrscan and nothing when i think the channels were there as it said on the front of the box 0001 think i best of just putting it on ebay as its really doiong my head in now someone might no what to do with it any suggestion appreciated..

 

Billie I am sure some of the lads in the eurovox know, will give you a dig out, its just a funny time of the year with holidays an all, when it settles down you will get help.. trust me LOL
