Make sure you have this Firmware on your box first of all >> http://www.4shared.com/file/74009044/b179e1e8/UFL_MAX_RED_30_11_08.html

Flash your box with that then do a Factory Default.

Check at the back of your box that you have the Cable feed plugged into the RF in and NOT the Ant socket then press Menu, pull right to Installation, press OK on user installation, enter 0000 as your pin, Press yellow for powerscan, Enter the information as below,

Start 100.00MHz
Stop 850.00MHz
SymR 6.887 Mbaud.
SymR 0.000 Mbaud.
SymR 0.000 Mbaud.
SymR 0.000 Mbaud.

First of all set step to 8 then press OK to start the scan, if this picks nothing up try the above again and set step to 6 if nothing try setting it to 4. In between every scan do a factory default.

hi to all ive reflashed box yet again going to try what hi teck suggested as he reaaly knows his stuff think there is only 6 7 8 steps will try them all,just wondering will i need to put my emmu to enable and also put new codes in and set default key to ntl..failing this i was wondering if i transferd the channel data from one box to the other will this work when im getting the signal problem on the box thats not working,just thinking of other ideas before i through it out the window with frustration my other box thats working is a eurovox slimeline model any help yet again very gratefull..

 

Emu should already be set to enable but of course you can check this by pressing, Menu, OK on language settings, type 1968 another column will show, set to enable save and exit.

If you can pick the channels up on your other box you can try a box to box transfer,

You can only do the box to box transfer for the CDF if the other box is a eurovox, if your transferring Firmware you need to use the exact same box ie ex1000sl to ex100sl.

You could also upload the CDF to your PC from the other eurovox then download it to your problem box.

You do not need to enter the codes as the box should update itself.

one last thing do i do a full powerscan after after that or would i be so lucky to just plug it in and channels come on ...

 

If you mean after the box to box CDF transfer of downloading the CDF then no, you will not need to powerscan as you have put the channel data in your box.

Do it in the order I said,

First try power scanning using different steps.

Then try the CDF either via box to box or PC to box,

If that doesn't work throw it in the bin LOL (Joke).

 

hit teck what have i done followed your instructions nothing after scans so put box to box and it said sw not the same or something like that i also hit the top one program code ...now the dam thing wont come on what shall i do now,will opening the box pressing the reset button work or my head is really hurting with all this..

 

I did say to you use the cdf not the F/W if its a different box, try reflashing with the link I gave you before then transfer the CDF NOT THE FIRMWARE. As posted you only use the firmware IF it's the exact same box.

Yes you will see 2 options,

1, Program Code Download

2, Channel Data Download. <--- This one.

 

ive got that on my screen like you said went down to channel data one and its still saying sw dont fit with the other box..grrrrr

 

LOL your not having much luck are you, Upload the CDF from your good box to your PC then Download it back to your problem box,

1, Plug your GOOD box with the working channels into your PC.

2, On the UFL Press UPLOAD and save it on your PC.

3, Now unplug the GOOD box and plug the problem box in, make sure you have done a factory default on the PROBLEM box before trying to download the CDF.

4, Press DOWNLOAD on the UFL and wait for it to send it to your box, should take around 5 seconds,

5, Plug your PROBLEM box back to the TV and see if it works.

 

i knew you were going to say that its a real piss take as the day goes by exscuse my laungage,when i put my good box into the computer should something come up straight away or do i need to go into something,no doubt ill speak to you in a bit..thanks again for helping me

 

It depends, if your using a USB adapter then when you plug that in it make say found new hardware or make a connection noise. If its just the Null modem cable then no it wont.

You need to use the Firmware I linked you to before to Upload/Download the CDF. you use the bottom buttons rather than the top download buttons on the UFL = Unified Flash Loader.

 

dont think i have a usb adapter,i still have what i downloaded earlier,is there any other way on how i can get it onto the computer just using the cable i was using before cheers
