Have you tried a Deep scan? factory default then Menu, installation, Deep scan, pull along until it shows 6887 then ok to scan.

Apologies but I don't understand your reply? your right the red doesn't have the deep scan option, my mistake Ive slept since :)

Did you upload the CDF from your working box to your PC then download it to your problem box as advised the other day.

Please try to answer these questions.

1,I really am struggling with what your saying. At the beginning of this thread you said that you had loaded the latest firmware and it downloaded successfully am I wrong in thinking this.

2, If you have loaded the firmware to your box via a cable then you should be able to upload and download your CDF but you then go on to say that you don't have a "usb" to do this? how did you flash your box if you didn't have a usb adaptor, did you just use a Null modem cable? if yes then you can still download upload the CDF from your box.

Your also asking me how to load the CDF, Did you read through the guide I gave you on how to do it? if I was to tell you how to do it I would only be repeating whats in that very guide.

Click on this blue writing at the side of this arrow > http://www.4shared.com/file/74105316/a1cca6c5/Upload_and_download_CDF_instructions_for_eurovox.html

That will take you to a page which says download. Click on the download and wait for it to count down 10 seconds, it will then say click here to download so as as it says and click on it. Save it to your pc and follow the instructions and it will work providing you have the correct cables.

If you have a null modem cable,

and a socket at the back of your PC like this,

Then that is all you need. Have a look at the guide and come back if your still struggling.

A CDF isn't just a list of channels and frequencies, once loaded to your box you will not need to power-scan nor manually input the frequencies as the channels will already be organized on your box.

when you plug your box into your PC via a null modem cable "nothing will come up" if plugging a USB adapter in as said before yes it may make a connection noise or show found new hardware etc etc.

Download and save this to your desktop >> http://www.4shared.com/file/44971057/ef7f23c7/UFL_Max_RED_21_04_08.html

This is only for the CDF purposes as some poeple are having problems loading the CDF with the new firmware loaders. This is no good for updating your firmware on your box as it is the old version from april

Once opened it will look like this,

    NOW PLEASE TAKE NOTICE!.

To upload your CDF from your good working box.

1, With your box on standby Plug it into your PC using the Null Modem Cable.

2, Look at the picture above of the loader, Press the BROWSE button. It will then ask you where you want to save the CDF and it will also ask you to name it which means you will have to fill in the white box with whatever name you like so that you can recognize it later i.e "MY CDF" will do fine.

3, Click SAVE. It will then search for your box and upload the CDF, should take around 5 seconds.

    #########################################################################################

Now to download the CDF back to the NON working box.

1, With your Box plugged in on standby, on the Firmware loader above press "BROWSE" as before.

2, Now select the CDF that you saved on your PC from where you saved it to.

3, Hit the BOTTOM DOWNLOAD button and wait for it to send the CDF.

4, Plug your box back up to your TV and it should work, If it doesn't please send it to me and I will take a sledge hammer to it. :)

    I'll be honest, I think it's knackered :( probably a tuner problem.

If you forget about the CDF you have downloaded and do what I posted on the previous page where by you upload your CDF from the working box and then download that to your problem box as the CDF you have is slightly outdated.(although some channels should work if not most).

Because your OTHER working box is tuned in at your address once its uploaded then downloaded to the problem box if it's not working then I would say then it's FAULTY.

Before downloading the CDF to your box do a factory default.

    Best of luck :)
