I have been having alot of problems installing this new dvd writer I just bought. I have had so many problems with it. I get a yellow mark next to my mass storage device everytime I try to install it. Once I plugged it in I get the yellow mark. I have the USB enhanced 2.0 drive but it doesn't seem to be doing me any good. Thats what it says it needs and thats what I have. Any have any suggestions.
In device manager where you have the yellow mark and you open up the drive properties what exactly does it state the problem is? It should tell you there.
How many USB ports do you have on your motherboard, or are you using an expansion card (pci)? And have you tried another port? Have a look in the manual, as sometimes one of them maywell be a lower spec - 1.1 for example.
