storage attached network problems

    Hi everyone, hope you all had a good christmas.
    I'm getting a hard drive LAN encosure and was thinking if it was possible to then access it from the internet. i've seen someone do it with thier work computer but that could be because they've got a couple of grand server.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    No you cant cheap Nas (network attached storage) doesnt run FTP. if you want to wait like i am Linksys is comming out with one that can do all the good stuff of FTP and access through internet and for a grreat price of 179.99 its the NAS200. check it out at linksys.com its gonna be nice.
