    Hello all !
This to submit a strange issue I'm meeting with an .avi movie file I wish to convert in VCD/SVCD (TmpgEnc). I try to explain as short as possible :
    - file .avi = 733 mb (thus, within standards)
    - movie effective lenght = 1h 56 min. (")
    - Min. .mpg file TmpgEnc will create will not
be lighter than 3 GIGABYTES !!!??? - NO WAY
    TO HAVE IT SMALLER !!!
Now,when asking the .avi player about movie info, this says DURATION 340 MINUTES !!!
Has somebody met once with such a circumstance ??
I therefore believe that this untrue info pushes TmpgEnc to consider this movie as lasting over 5 hours, explaining why it wants to create a .mpg of several gigabytes.
Am I wrong ?? Is there nothing to correct, solve the problem ??
    Thanks for any suggestion, info
    to silvano-bizzarri@libero.it--
    Good day -
    Silvano

In TMPGEnc, click Settings and click the advanced tab. Tick the box beside Source Range. Double click source range and click "move to start frame" and click "set start frame" then click "move to end frame" and click "set end frame". Now click ok and try encoding again!
