Streaming video

    I have quite a large collection of videos on my pc...is there any way that i can stream them (rather than downloading) to other people in my house via my home network?using freeware if possible any ideas??

    Yes you can.

    1) What are you going to stream to? Another computer? or TV? Media player?

    2) What type of files do you have? (EX: DVD iso? divx avi? mkv? h.264 mp4?) I would also need to know if you are wanting to stream HD video and what type of audio you are going to use. Audio would be AC3 5.1 or stereo L/R (mp3), or maybe AAC?

    The best thing to do is setup the network to handle YOUR preferred file type and codec (audio + video)
