Pretty much so. You are automatically updated to a member by the system, however thats as far as it gets. Senior memebers are handpicked by Admin, Mods if they have a good reputation. Afterdawn Addicts are literally people who have posted thousands of good posts and been around for a while. Moderators are responsible Senior members or addicts that wish to tinker with the tots. Those are picked by dRD usually.

In fact it says in the...erm...rules that all users must take the piss out of Herbsman if they wish to get promoted.
