1 turn pc off connect the cable into back of pc
2 connect the other part to your box
3 turn your pc back on ok do that and come back

i got wrong cable both sides is femail it doesnt fit 4 pc only 4 box so when i get right cable il come back 2 u thank u.

 

you have the right cable 9 pin female to 9 pin female that is correct one

 

are you using laptop or pc

ok you need an adapter for it ok would be better with pc has any friends got a pc you could use would be easier for you laptop can be difficult to get to work this flash

I've got the cable and my PC with a serial connection ready to go.... can you please send me full instructions to carry out the update.

Where do i get the updated firmware ?
What should i notice after the updates ?
Are there any pitt falls to aviod ?

All the firmware/software you need to upgrade the Starview is in the link at the end of my post, marked Eamos FTA Library.

1. Download the Starview PDF Guide, found in Starview Documentation Folder. This will show you how to flash your Starview.
2. Download GTromloader, found in Starview Software Folder.
3. Download Version 4 firmware, (only for genuine box), found in Starview Firmware folder
