So, MPC has been working great for me so far. But today for some reason, I cannot get subtitles off. Even when subtitles are not enabled (from the right-click on screen menu), subtitles still show up. Even on some files that do not even have a subtitle option, subtitles are showing up where they have not been before. Looked all around the subtitle options and tweked a bunch, but nothing fixed this.
Go to [bold]View[/bold] -> [bold]Options[/bold] and open [bold]Playback[/bold] and make sure [bold]Auto-load subtitles[/bold] are not enabled. You can also visit in View -> Options... Subtitles tab and see that there is everything working....
Thanks. I actually had tried that. That wasn't the problem though, turns out it was an issue with VobSub. I'm not sure why the problem began, but at least it's fixed now.
OK. You should say that you have also VobSub Because in VobSub settings you need to unselect always load options. And if it still loads them, you can use this small trick: In Misc tab, select "Hide subtitles"
