I'm having a problem getting my subwoofer to work when playing DVD's. When I put the receiver in test mode (individual speakers), the sub works fine. When I play a movie from my DVD player, all speakers work except the subwoofer.

Has anybody run into this? Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing?

    Thanks!

do you have the DVD players hooked up correctly though the surround sound system. may need to adjust your audio with the remote control of the dvd player setting it to 5.1 sound

Is there a way to tap the signal from the mains of the L or R speakers onto the sub ( some have provisions for this and this can be a check to see if the receivers sub output amp is ok)
