I have been using NERO for a couple of years, and have never had any problems... until recently. The last couple of attempts (dozen or so) at burning either ISO images or Video_TS files to DVD have not been successful. I have tried two different medias (TDK & Memorex) and have not had a resolution. The TDKs I have been using for a year with maybe 1 or 2 coasters. I am using a TOSHIBA Satellite A105-S4114 with a Pioneer DVR-K16A. The solution may already be in a post, but I have yet to find it, and I can't really make sense of the logs, so if you can help I would greatly appreciate it. You are burning to close to the edge where the dye is most uneven and which allows failed burns to be a more common occurrence Memorex isnt the best, maybe change to something a little more durable and flexible like ritek, taiyo yuden, sony
Thanks. I will try different media. I have had success with TDKs at a prior time, but even those are not working. Is there a reason why I would be able to burn data DVDs and not the video discs? Thanks again, I will pick up some SONYs this week and try again.
just want to add: that is a Roxio/Sonic driver that is Packet writing software that interferes with DVD writing in Nero. Some computers can handle both Nero and Roxio/Sonic but when you are having problems with Nero I would uninstall Roxio/Sonic! not recommended to burn on the fly! and with all of these: seems like it can't get to the burner! like there is a read problem going on with the blank DVD! maybe it's dirty or something!
