Supreme Commander question

    I just started playing Supreme Commander in single player campaign mode. I'm on the second mission and I can't figure out how to get the light transport to drop it's cargo. I select the transport and select where it is supposed to land. It travels across the map but just hovers when it reaches it's destination.
