    Just wondering, does it matter what surface to get when buying TY? i.e. silver inkjet, laquer, the ones with just the white labels, etc. I have no clue!!

    @lube99
    If you don't have a printer that will print to dvd's - just get the shiny silver one - a little cheaper than the printable ones (silver inkjet or white surface)
    If in the US check out http://supermediastore.com They usually run a special on the different TY's.
    Great choice in media btw!

    As binkie stated just get the cheapest ones if you dont have an inkjet or thermal printer.

    I have no printer, so I get the shiny top, and use a Sharpie. They are not all that expensive and burn "flawlessly" :)

    Me too arniebear! It's easy & quick to just use a Sharpie. Besides, they are MY backups, I am the only one that would care what it looks like, and I don't, long as it's identified. I also put hte progrma used to back-up & the date I did it. Just to track if it plays much later.

    See I'm picky - I want my backups to look just like the originals - then no one knows the difference!!
    You guys have to try a disc printable printer - they are getting pretty cheap!!

    I'd buy stock in Sharpie...and Epson.

    LOL

    The R200 has been on sale everywhere lately for $50, I have the R320 and love it.

    Arniebear ya got me there - but it's just a tad bit more if you include printer/ink/discs :)
