I have been told that surround sound isn't available "yet" through my dolby freeview box.Is this true?
I need to know if I should be getting surround sound with surround sound tv programmes through my pioneer dolby dvb and my jvc surround sound system.
All help and advice greatly appreciated.

are you using RCA jacks to connect the box to your system? if so your not getting true surround sound the box needs to have a optical digital output or a digital coax output and your reciver has to have the digital input optical or coax as well.

never used it but yes if the signal isnt in surrond sound then you wont get sourond sound. Just was letting you know about the Optical or Coax digital outputs and inputs you have to use to acttly get surond sound if you get the signal./
