svcd mpg files on a dvdr how??

    how can i burn svcd mpg files that ive downloaded onto a dvdr i cant seen to find a programme that will do it.. e.g nero wont do it as it as when i select dvd option it wasnt iso, vob files etc.. I just want to make a scvd but on a dvdr so i can fit it on one disc not 2 or 3 cd-r's

    Um.... well if you want to make a SVCD then you will have to select SVCD:
    1. Start Nero
    2. Select SuperVideoCD
    3. Place all the sections of the movie onto the compilation
    4. Burn with a DVD disc.

    i have tried that but it just oprens the tray and basically rejects the media as its a dvd-r not a cd-r, should it accept a dvd-r still if i select to burn a svcd?

    I dunno... i'm not a fan of DVDs hehe... but considering SVCD = super video CD then it might not i dunno.

    Most players won't read anything but DVD-Video from a DVD.

    Well I wouldnt go so far as to say most wont read SVCDs but vurbal does raise a good point.... what make/model standalone do you have?

    I have a Dansai 1010 and a thompson dvd player. can you recommend any programmes where i can burn svcd mpg onto a dvdr?? if nero doesnt do it.

    The Best program for Putting SVCD on to DVD is "DVD-Lab" it authors SVCD"s to DVD as easilly as it authors DVD"s to DVD, I have Backed up Hundreds of SVCD"s to DVD this way and they are all perfect....

    Do a search in afterdawn's download section they should have DVD-Lab V 1.1
