    I had to update Symantec antivirus 7.5(.6?) to 8.11 in school, and i can't remember the setting to automatically close the virus scan windows, its not that big of a deal, but im used to just waiting for window to close when scanning is finished so i can do other things. Does anyone know what setting I need to use the auto-close the scanning windows? Thanks

    I'm running 7.60.926 and I cant seemd to find an autoclose feature, do you mean, you want it to close whenever it finished a scan? What happens if it finds a virus? :)

    Yeah, that's what i want, to close the window after a scan, it wouldn't matter if there was a virus because av pops up a message regardless of the window being closed with that setting. Do you know how to enable it.

    There is no setting like that to my knowledge.... that would be self detrimental. I could be horribly wrong...

    For some reason there IS such a setting:

    1. Scan --> Select drives/folderes etc
    2. Click Options
    3. CLick Advanced --> Select "Close Scan prograss when done"

    Thank you so much, that feature really isn't detremental, if there is a virus the program notifies you immediately, I vastly prefer it closing the window by itself, its a simple visual que that it has finished scanning.
