TDk maybe is just acting dumb , but no one there has a clue about bitsettings or book types, if this is true don't look for any firmware to add this fuction, After re-thinking the whole dvd-video read problems in some older home players and having to change the book type and or looking for ways it can be done on 420n, maybe it just time to move on to a unit that has this funtion. and list this as another buyer be-ware , and do alittle more ground work before buying . Anyone want to buy a tdk 450n? cheap makes great data disks lol
