I am interested in buying a new cd burner and have been shopping around. I recently found one online that looks exellent: a Teac CDW-540E 40x12x48 Internal IDE cd burner. Out of all of the burners i looked at, this one appears to be the best, but it is also cheaper than the others, being only $109. It almost sounds too good to be true...does anyone know anything about the brand? I have never heard of it and therefore don't know if it is good quality. Thanks...

Surely it is a great drive: 8MB buffer, 31x average speed, Mt.Rainer support, good writing quality.... Some guys in Taiwan (forum.1bits.com) have compared it with Liteon 40125S; it is found that the writing quality of Teac is considerably better than Liteon:

The text is in chinese but the picture speaks for itself.
