I downloaded this movie and it was a 1.19GB avi file. I created a DVD and when I pop it in my dvd player it says "playback prohibited area limitations"??????????? WFT???????????
Also make sure if it's in PAL format you are in a PAL region or have a player that accepts that standard. Otherwise you'll need to convert it to NTSC (or vice versa)
What do you mean by region? I didnt convert it, I used nero "create your own dvd" thingy and i added the file to the list and burnt it. the dvd+r is 4.7GB in size if that is what you mean by region.
cropa do you know where you live. What country???? I live in australia and we are region 4, what are you?
Australia uses PAL format whilst the good old US of A uses NTSC. Some stand alone players will handle both formats but not too many. As andmerr has suggested where do you reside?
I live in Canada mate. Maybe we can become pen pals LoL jk. Im guessing I dont use PAL format then. Thats the format I burnt the DVD in.
@cropa Your in region 1 same as the US and use the NTSC standard. Soooo unless you have a player that plays PAL you'll need to convert from PAL to NTSC. editted to add: Here's a link about converting: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/167922
you can also run the files through DivxToDVD and where it says standard select NTSC, heres a link to download DivxToDVD http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/v...

Not a prob andmerr - anything for you Hey gwendolin - txs for the tip on divxtodvd! I have a dvd now I have to convert from pal to ntsc and this may be easier than my last method. Edit: for spellin (dang typos!)
