I just found this forum...did a Google on 'dvd shrink cyclic redundancy check' and found Pete telling someone to simply clean their disk and try again, and damn, it worked! I'd been baffled by this problem for a bit now, not knowing that a 'clean looking' disk could need cleaning. Worked like a charm. Thanks, Scuba Pete, and cheers.
