Okay guys, I'm building a computer for my brother-in-law and he needs a HIGH END sound card. I hear there are some problems with the Audigy and I also heard that it's not what I'm looking for if I want to use it for music production. He needs everything a good soundcard comes with as well as midi ins and outs, and rca ins and outs. what do yo uthink?
depending on what application you plan on using this card for. But yes Sound Blaster Audigy is no where near being one of the best. Are you performing multitracking music/sound production? Pro Tools www.protools.com is one of the industry standards for multitrack recording. You can also check out Midiman http://www.midiman.com/ which is some real good stuff too. There are many other companys out there, but those are just some suggestions without getting too complicated.
