    Hey :)

    Yes i have the correct cable and i checked to make sure im using the correct port, you said make sure you have the correct settings? is there more to do with the port settings?

    Right click on my computer down to properties into device manager down to com ports right click on that and into properties. Go into the port settings tab and change the baud or bit rate to 11520 press on advanced button at the bottom and change com port at the bottom to between 1 and 4 apply/ok any changes and reboot.

    TOP SETTING TO 11520 THEN PRESS ADVANCED

    CHANGE TO BETWEEN 1 AND 4 AND MAKE SURE YOU APPLY AND SAVE ON THE WAY OUT

    Thanks for that but i made those changes and it is still saying flash update fail :( anything else i could try?

    are you using vista, or xp can you tell me, where did you get the cable from, that you are using.

    Im on vista i have two cables the usb to null and then that is connected to the null to the box, i was told by someone on this where to get it.

    The cables are called

    USB-RS232 and RS232 Null modem cable

    ok first off, Vista is not working for 90% of people, so that is your first issue, and there are 2 types of null modem cables, 1 is a straight thru one, the other is the correct one.

    This is the correct one below.

    But i would say you main problem is Vista

    hi guys
    dont no if yhis is the right forum but i m havin a problem im not sure wat box i have it just says [THE BOX] on it.
    im in waterford and i am connected to n*l and all my channels are gone now..
    need some help please ;O(
