Hey Yes i have the correct cable and i checked to make sure im using the correct port, you said make sure you have the correct settings? is there more to do with the port settings?
Right click on my computer down to properties into device manager down to com ports right click on that and into properties. Go into the port settings tab and change the baud or bit rate to 11520 press on advanced button at the bottom and change com port at the bottom to between 1 and 4 apply/ok any changes and reboot. TOP SETTING TO 11520 THEN PRESS ADVANCED CHANGE TO BETWEEN 1 AND 4 AND MAKE SURE YOU APPLY AND SAVE ON THE WAY OUT
Thanks for that but i made those changes and it is still saying flash update fail anything else i could try? Thanks again for your help
Im on vista i have two cables the usb to null and then that is connected to the null to the box, i was told by someone on this where to get it.
ok first off, Vista is not working for 90% of people, so that is your first issue, and there are 2 types of null modem cables, 1 is a straight thru one, the other is the correct one. This is the correct one below. This one is the wrong one. But i would say you main problem is Vista
ok thanks a million mate i do have the correct lead so ill try it from a computer with xp Thanks again
