The box not updating codes

alright lads.

Having trouble with my da's box super and cant find s*y or discovery turbo to sort it out.

my own box is one of the older ones and have to manually input the codes but cant find them anywhere? do i need to follow the same process or do i need to reset all the channels. its stuck on zero aswell.

im an idiot realise what discovery turbo and s*y 2 are but still no joy on either?

 

Try s*ky indie, and it'll update... D18 down all day - fine now when you do this..

Anyone know why I cant get R*E1 or 2 or T*3 on a super box in N*L region D18?

 

do a manual scan on 339.500 and you should get them..

Thanks Noelyf, got 3 box's back up and running, so far all still working fine. After about 6 months of trouble free veiwing, somebody somewhere decides to flick a switch and ruin peoples fun. Baa Humbug

 

still nothing mate. does it matter i have a box that you have to manually input codes( havent put them in for months). this has me stumped

 

ok i fell like a bit of a twat asking this ie. nooby !! ok i got a starview 3 galway area tried EVERYTHING s.y 2 , dicovery turb.,s.y indie and nothind did all the emu and default stuff and nothing ,, just wondering anyone got same problem or anyone got any ideas ??

sorry mate not very good at this. how do you do that?

 

Menu > installation > press ok
Make sure the cable network is on n*l
Go down to manual scan > press ok
At Down Frequency type in 339500
Go down to network scan & enable, it will now scan for channels on that freq.

 

cheers noelyf for the fix regarding the box not updating.is it just relevant to some of the firmwares as i have a box upstairs with firmware from march that's working fine.

 

Hi, I have box version 4.50e e, boot ver 7.0 5 jul 2007. Channels were all scrambled so I reset factory settings and did automatic scan. Now I only get 10 channels as opposed to 140! Can any one help!can somemone tell me what firmware is and how it can be updated? Is this the problem? Thanks

 

factory reset,power off at back/on autoscan ur provider emu to on.make sure when u scan direct feed no splitters or extensions,it is just a matter of luck what channel u are on that has a stronger signal,if it will update it takes 10-15 secs to move if not another channel.

 

Hi Noel, I've tried your method there and it is going ok, but when updating, it reaches 220% and starts again. Any other ideas in you??

 

Hi guys total newbie here, hope you can help.

"the box" has not worked for a few days now, today I reverted to the factory settings and rescanned, only a couple of channels working R*E 1 Eur*sp*rt. I followed some of the instructions from noelyf and discovered the emu was off. I set the default key and made sure EMU on. Only problem, it took ages saving so I exited and did it again. It saved in a couple of seconds. I have now tried the 3 channels indicated in the thread, sk* 2, indie and sports. it is updating but it is continually updating. Is this normal or am I just being impatient. Its been going for about 20 mins, gets to 220% then goes onto the channel and begins updating immediatly again!

Also have another query, do I need to update the firmware? I really hope not as I am not too good at those things! It says I have version 4.51 from 5th July 2007, I'm in Dublin and in post http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/663923 it says that version 4.51 is for the box uk. now I did buy it from a uk website but I'm pretty sure it was for Ireland?? It has worked until now anyway. I was just wondering if when I reverted to factory settings did I revert to a uk version of the firmware?

Any help greatly appreciated, sorry for all the silly questions!

 

Go to s*y two & it should kick in.

 

The uk firmware works in Ireland,
Use the 4.55 & the 4.03 loader. You`ll find them in The b0x folder in eamos library under my sig.
