hi this is my first forum and im not at all techie minded so please dont use technical words. i dont mind if you speak to me like an idiot -honest!!!! a friend just told us recently about the box super so we bought 1. she said all she did was plug it in, scan channels and away she went with all channels. we have done the same thing but nearly all channels are scrambled(little doller sign) we have read what others have said and wondered if we need to connect it to a computer first, we did get a cable in the box.we live in the hamilton area just outside glasgow if it makes a difference to codes etc. any advice would be great but please remember we need an idiot step by step guide. thanks in advance delboy

Then ask for relevant guidance on that thread.

Just jumping in for a sec in malci`s absence Press menu > 1570 on the remote Go to "key emu" & turn it on. Exit back to channels & you should be sorted.
hi managed to turn emu on but still only getting fre channels.any more ideas guys. would turning off and on do it any good?? thanks in advance delboy
sorry to butt in...when you have turned the emu key on..press ok(nothing will happen),then exit twice till you get back to the normal tv channels...then press ok and go to the sky sports 1 channel...screen will be blank..wait...code updating should occur..wait till it finishes..and away you go!!!
Have all the channels on my box super,except 4,these are RTE1,RTE2 ,TG4 and TV3 ,anybody know how to get these back,have rescanned and still nothing.

Hi - I have the same missing channels (RTEs, TV3 and TG4); am in Dublin with NTL using the Box Super. Tried scanning on 339.500. None of the missing channels turned up (although it did find 10 channels). Anything else I can do? Should I press anything other than OK when manual search complete? Thanks
All the others appear to be there. It's picking up everything else as far as I can see. RTEs were there but then diappeared entirely. Will check again tomorrow when not so tired!
Have re-scanned everything (found 188 channels, including both TV and radio) and then tried manual scan on 339.500 but there's still no sign of any of the four Irish channels (R*E 1/2; T*3; T*4). Am in Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown area - should I try a different frequency? Thanks in advance.
I did factory reset and automatic scan: no sign of the missing channels. But then when I did the manual scan again, there they were. Thanks a million.
