no that wouldn't make sense. it would work and when you canceled it it would stop working because that cancels the live cable feed.
Hi everyone is there a new problem with the box super i am in dublin i have the eurovox and it is working fine but my dad has the box super and it has stopped working is there a new update for it?? if i give him the code from my eurovox will it work for the box if it will how do i put the code in to the box super sorry for so many questions my dad is driving me mad on at me thanks in advance for any help
was that message for me if so the only message is code updating but it has been like that for a week it used to update itself it stopped about a week so did all the box super in bray area on ntl
Press Menu then 1570 and press the "Set Default Key" , press OK and tune into S*Y Sports and it should auto update for you

If it updated for him previously then that should work , if it doesnt then Press Menu > System Information and tell us what the API is please and we will know from thae info you provide

Hi, I have THE BOX Super API ver: 6.00e_E boot ver: 8.0 4. Feb. 2008 I'm in Dublin with NTL it was working fine for months. 2 Days ago ALL the channels seemed corrupted and unwatchable so I performed a factor reset and then tried auto scan but now I cannot find * ANY * channel at all, I have tried ALL the providers like NTL, CHORUS and even CHORUS Cork. When I plug the coax in the TV I have all the channels from the basic package so it's definitely not the cable. I have tried scanning with EMU on and off. I have entered the codes I get from the thechatterbox.cc toolbar for both NTL and Chorus. All I get is TP failed. Has anyone got any ideas.. has NTL changed something in Dublin or am I going mad ted! I though I should get the basic channels just as long as the provider is correct. Is that right? Is there some sort of hard reset? Any advice appreciated.
Looks like you need to re- flash the box, could have been a corrupt file you downloaded, try it and see!

Des, I flashed the box using the link you privided (thanks) I now have The BOX Super: API ver: 6.01e_E Boot ver: 8.0 7 Mar. 2008 Turned off did a factor reset and then automatic scan on both NTL and Chorus and found nothing! Maybe I shouldnt have done a factor reset before I searched? I will flash again maybe?
I notice when I turn on the box "ld80" appears for a second and then "on". Is that normal? Also when I flash I only download "App File only" I didnt select the "Channel Data File"
if you upladed the 6.01 that should work, thats the one i have, did you turn the emu on? A factory reset clears all previous data, but the new download would have got it all back!
