hi thought i would be back to tell you how i got on in a few days but he went for a month lol

antway the problem he has is now he cant do a rescan cause when it asks for a code 0000 doesnt work keeps asking him for a code to get into any menu functions i told him to try 1570 nothing is there a main code for the box super to be able to use menu functions???

ok 1st , most likely there is nothing wrong with ur Super Box....

The latest batch of Super boxes have glitches with the firmware....

i recieved a batch on Monday with latest firmware 8.00 installed...

these are a bit erratic on scnanning , in particular freq 339500 (RTE1/2 plus others)

When this batch of Super box are programmed with older firmware (pre 8.00) they pick up NO channels......of any kind!!!!!

At present iam using v8.00 , when i do a auto scan on a N*l feed in a 2nd room through a TV booster i get 176 channels found, it does not pick up freq 339500 (rte1/2) when i do a manual scan on this freq it still wont pick up 339500, but when i connect a older BOX/SUPER i receive these channels.....strange!

My solution to MY problem was TO bring teh Super Box to teh direct n*l cable into teh house (bypassing splitters boosters etc) and manully scan 339500 , this found teh missing channels..

i have also been told that there is fix due soon to rectify this problem!!

Always scan from the direct feed on initial set up. If you are talking about a fix 7.09 was brought out last week.

 

hi you are probably very sick of me by now so sorry that code worked but he is missing loads of stations still could comeone please talk me through step by step how to rescan all channels on the box super sorry if thats a dumb question but i have no idea

menu > factory reset. then installation and scan. then exit to menu and press 1570 and turn emu on.

I get the same scan errors on 7.09 as ver 8.00...


so a proper fix is needed!!!

 

it's the way they keep putting different tuners in the boxes. they have about 3 different tuners in them now and some don't work on certain firmware. did you try scanning on 7.05 and then go to 7.09 without resetting so the channels will stay.

Hi i have the box super which was working perfectly until yesterday. The screen has gone blank on the channels and when i do a automatic search it only brings back no programs. Do i need a software update? This is what its currently running on:

Api Ver: 6.00 e-E
Boot ver: 8.0
4th feb 2008

 

Press menu... type in 1570 and press default,should get it back!
