    Hi,

I'm really new to all this! Just got the box last week... :)

I have The Box Super, serial number: 8e004633
    API: GTRom_Super_6.01e
    Boot Ver: 8

I've got it all loaded up, following the instructions included in the download and I've been browsing thru this forum, trying some of the other things suggested.

The problem happens when I do an automatic scan. The box isn't picking up any channels. Its going thru all 31 of the wee bar things, some of them are failing, but most are ok. Nothing is appearing in the TV or Radio sections and at the end it is saying 0 programs found.

When I go into manual scan, the level's floating around 43% and the quality is steady at 99%.

Do I need to get a booster?

    Thanks for all your help!

    Jenny

    Thanks Cactikid.

Yeah, everything else is ok, scanning TW for Telewest, everything is in secure.

Would it be better pluggin the booster in at the entry point to the house, or just before the box?

    Cheers!

We're aiming on putting a splitter in so we can put the TW box upstairs and keep The Box downstairs.

I've been advised to use a TriStar booster by the guy in the computer shop. Is this one any good? I'm asking cos it's an Argos buy...

    Cheers!

    Hi,

I've got the booster plugged in and made sure everything is secure. I'm scanning the correct provider. I've followed the instructions on this forum and checked them with the instructions supplied with the download.

I'm still not receiving any programs. I dont know what else to do!

I've scanned it 5 times now, to see if its going to pick anything up and nothing has appeared!

    Help! :(

Make sure your TW cable is in the "Cable Input" socket at the back of the Starvi*w , you might also need to update the version to 7.05 or 7.09
