Yes but its not updated, the C11 cap should now be at 16V 1000uf. Remember this is for a Starview 1 and not a SV3 although both are similar from a cap perspective. Funny you have two SV3s that have the same problem. Do you have them long and where did you get them.
Thanks sc0user. Just had a look and the C11 in the box super is a 10V 2200uF. It's blown in one of the boxes so a trip to maplin is on the cards. It looks ok in the other so hopefully I'll be able to recover that one using the bad flash method (i read in another thread that somebody had to try 20+ times before they were sucessful with this method so I'll keep plugging away). I have bought quite a few boxes at this stage and these are the only 2 that have given me problems so I think I'm doing ok. I only buy genuine units from the more popular online wholesalers. Sc0user maybe you can help me with another question I have. I posted this thread yesterday, would you have any ideas, thanks mate. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/709758
I know who they used to be, (trying to remember). But it doesn't matter anymore as they have changed again. TBH its hard for us to keep track of manufacturers , one day its X the other day its Y. Either way only the SV4 is/will replace all older SVs as the main disty has discontinued the older boxes, (mainly due to the clone market). You probably buy from Wizard, (although I see you have now moved onto Cable & Sat). Yes they are cheaper but do you ever question why they are so cheap?
Yeah I've dealt with probably every major wholesaler at one stage or another, including wizard. Cable and sat I only used twice and the transactions went smoothly and the goods looked genuine and didn't give any problems (so far... fingers crossed!). but as I said in the other post, the last time I tried to order from them I got no response at all so I won't bother with them again. I'd like to find out who the main distributer is and cut out the middleman, but it's close to impossible to find this out. Thanks for your time anyway sc0user, you've no idea how many times youself, celtic71, fergusrb, desB et al have helped me out on these forums, I really appreciate it. Keep up the good work!!
