I have to bring this up, because i keep running into the same problem, guys... i have completed a couple of perfect dvd9's using this thread- but im still having the problem of the megui output. im not sure if its ryu77's 2nd pass, or what, but the endings is 3/4 through the movie and the stream is almost twice the length. any suggestions? . i dont worry about errors, but after waiting 24 hours for it to encode, this really sucks thanks for the help!
I had a similar problem. I had a blu ray movie (Twister) ripped into the hard drive using AnyDVD but was unable to play it back from the hard drive using Windows Media Player 11, Roxio's Cineplayer and Intervideo Win DVD BD. Can some one suggest a solution to this? The WinDVD BD could play the movie back from the BD drive but was unable to open the m2ts files in the Stream folder. The Cineplayer was supposed to be able to play m2ts files but could not open the files in the Stream folder either. When tried to burn the videos to disc using Roxio 10 Creator or Sony's Click-to-Disc, both could not detect any video files in the Stream folder. What softeware can I use to burn this movie back to a blank BD disc? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Hey guys, it's probably best if you don't mention movie titles unless it's absolutely necessary. It's not against forum rules, however it does ensure a safer discussion. ;-)
I never mentioned any but I will keep that in mind. But I need help with adding menus and chapters to an AVCHD. Based on the link you provided I think it's possible, right? Code: http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1095653&postcount=1
Hi, I'm new to this forum, and I wonder if anyone can help with either a MeGUI or txMuxeR problem... I've had some success using MeGUI to resample large mkv files down to around 4GB and tsMuxeR to create Blu-ray disks that play in my Sony BDP-S301 player. Sometimes (> 50% of the time), the disk loads in the player, but won't play. The display says "1:00:00:00" and then says "AVCHD". Other times, the disk plays perfectly. I use the following procedure: 1. Using the AviSynth script creator, I load the original mkv file to MeGUI for video encoding. 2. I select "x264: Standalone-Blu-ray_Fast" encoder setting, file format "MKV". I leave the encoder settings at default (Turbo, Automated 2pass, AVC Profile: High, AVC Level 4.1), and adjust the bitrate appropriately to get the desired file size. This generates a new mkv file with only the video stream. 3. In tsMuxeR GUI, I add the new mkv file for the video stream. I also add the original mkv file for the audio stream (and uncheck the video track in the original file). I select Output: Create Blu-ray disk and Change level: 4.1 (this is redundant, since MeGUI changed the level to 4.1 in the video stream already). 4. Then I use ImgBurn to burn the resulting BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders on a DVD5 with UDF 2.5 format. As I said above, sometimes the resulting DVD plays perfectly in my Blu-ray player, but most of the time lately, I add a coaster to my collection :-( I wonder if it's the MeGUI settings, or perhaps there's something funny about the BD file structure, although it seems unlikely that tsMuxeR would mess this up only sometimes. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong will be much appreciated...
shpanda, if you're not going to resize the video why don't you just use tsMuxer? It can change AVC to 4.1. Before creating a Blu-ray disc, change it to M2TS and then using the M2TS files create a Blu-ray disc.
I searched the forums but I can't seem to find what the proper configuration is for MKV2VOB. I'm wondeirng whats the best Output file extension and transocding codec to use ?
Hi all I hope this is a dumb newbee question with a simple answer. I've followed guide and have successfully ripped Blu ray disk to HDD using anydvd, Used tSMuxer to mux audio and video into .m2ts file about 21 GB in size. Plays with Powerdvd and audio sync is OK. Next I tried to make a blu ray output file with tsmuxer and it creates the BDMV and certificate folders as expected. Next I tried to create an .ISO file using ImgBurn and it creates OK but Powerdvd tells me it is an unsupported format and won't play it. Can anyone suggest what might be wrong? Thanks
Make sure the iso is UDF 2.5 or else it will not play. Also, are you mounting the image to a virtual drive, or trying to open the iso with PowerDVD?
This may have been asked before. Do you guys think there ever will be a all in one program that makes out right copies of Blu-Rays?
thanks for the reply odin Yes UDF 2.5 and yes Daemon tools to mount iso. Also when powerdvd sees it as a bluray disk but won't play it
Odin: I seen some guys on another forum saying that PS3 video encodes can be set to 5.1 & not 4.1 anymore do you know if there's any truth to this?
Yeah, it is true. However I've only tested it out on a TV show, not a movie. I've also heard not all AVC level 5.1 clips work.
