    @saugmon

I hope you have better luck with your young tyke. The first time I took my 3 yr old daughter fishing she promptly threw the rod and reel overboard. Still a fond memory and always good for a chuckle.

nice trout SOCOMII. One species that I haven't caught.

ireland: That's musky country! That's way on the other side of the state. It probably isn't far from Lake Chataqua? I'd love to hit those lakes.

garmoon: Momma would be with us,so she'd keep her busy, LOL. Momma definitely wants to get out there also.

We ended up with 108 saugeye, which wasn't even close to last year's motherlode. Also lost about 25 crankbaits to the stump gods, UGGH! Biggest Saugeye was only 22",but had several that size.

Throw in another 35 channelcats,12 crappie, and a half dozen of very fat 11" perch. Even caught a Fish Ohio 26" carp trolling.

Coldfront after coldfront so far this summer. Get 2-3 days in the 90's,then back to the 50's.

I can't wait for the snow!!!!

Here's a pic of one of our Nicer Catch of the Days:

2 of them went 20" and other went 21"

Here's a pic of Dad's 45" windsock he snagged while trolling after the 4th of July, still in excellent condition:

Nice Haul SOCOMII. A nice fat largemouth and a nice batch of toothy Nornern Pike!!!! What were their sizes?

I haven't fished since middle of july. The heat has been intolerable, and it's got to be the hottest september on record.

I don't know if I'll get out any more. The GF's 2 boys are playing peewee football. Almost kickoff time for the Buckeyes!!!!

Yeah, I wish it was. I live on a lake, and the snow was just about gone, with temperatures in the mid 50's F, but we are near the end of a freak storm. Since 9 last night, we have had 21" of d*mn snow, and it is still snowing heavily. The storm warning ends tomorrow morning at 10.

The ice won't go out until early May, now. :(

    I live in Minnesota.

anything cheap for starters and watcher your good stuff too, because the little bugger's gonna step on and break one of the rods! LMAO

If fishing for bream and sac-a-lait I would suggest a cane pole for starters. For bass a simple zebco or jap equivalent cheapie will do. If you don't do much catching, he might not like fishing anyway.
