I like peas, but not in my homemade soup.

Onion, garlic, carrots, turnip, broccoli, potato, one vegetable stock cube, all veg pureed and then simmered for an hour. It was lovely! :)

    Sounds good.

I kept last night simple. (one handed cooking gets troublesome :) )

    Riblets, basted with barbecue sauce.

Instant mashed potatoes, and corn with plenty of butter and pepper.

A couple Malibu Bay Breezes for dessert.
Here's the recipe for the drink, for those interested.

    Malibu Bay Breeze

    2 ounces of Malibu Rum

    2 ounces of Cranberry Juice

    2 ounces of Pineapple Juice.

Pour rum over ice in a highball glass; mix cranberry juice and pineapple juice and pour over rum and ice. Stir. Top with a cherry. Enjoy.

Thanks for the drinks recipe. My favourite fruit juices are cranberry and pineapple, but i never thought of mixing them. I'll be giving that one a go as well as iluvendo and gm's cocktail receipes. Looks like i'm going to have to have a party one of these days! LOL!

I had a nice lunch from the refinery cafeteria. A nice 10oz pork rib, lightly barbequed, cooked just right, falling off the bone, white rice, corn (from the can...well, they do serve over 100 people), wheat roll, mixed greens salad with italian dressing, and a 32oz cup of sweet iced tea with lemon. This was today's special. Not bad for $6.

receipe for peanut butter dipping sauce

    For the Peanut Dipping Sauce:
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
    3/4 cup soy sauce
    1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
    2 tablespoons ginger, grated
    2 teaspoons garlic, minced
    1 tablespoon sesame oil
    3/4 cup peanut oil
    1/2 cup rice wine vinegar

Mix all well in a food processor or small blender or electric hand blending stick

BTW why I eat a lot of Asian cuisine, cheaper than going to American sit down eg Chilis or Outback steakhouse (pizza take out I do often - my fav is Costco combo-, so not included as you guys already have that area covered)

Oh yeah, those are getting me hungry. Had some leftover brisket, on white bread, with honey bbq sauce and a glass of big red for dinner last night. Don't know what the lunch special will be at work just yet.
