    If you want info on my experiences with hurricane Gustav, I started a thread.

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/698957

    We we very inventive in cooking on double burner propane fish fryer set up. Actually high grade large gas burners. Think hot water tank burners. We made beans and bake bread in cast iron pots. And also other delicious things you cook on a regular stove. The BBQ pit saw extra duty. Today we threw away food and cleaned frig and freezer out. Then booted them up along with the AC. There is a lot more misery than we suffered out there tho. FEMA has done it's $hitty job, but better than Katrina. Most people here have helped themselves and were prepared for the worse.

    Going grocery shopping tomorrow and will be looking for fresh red meat in the form of porterhouse steaks, potatoes, veggies and fruit.

    first off, clicking the quote link works well. my first post didn't fair so well.

    this is awesome. a food thread on a tech forum, how cool is that?

    @iluvendo

    your initial meal is a little heavy for me. I would do a nice Cali Club and then add the iced tea and fruit. nice idea though.

    so far this is neat but some of the stuff you people eat seems strange to me. to each his own i guess

    McGreg08,

    You sound like some kind of light weight.

    Now, take the Gm, a real man, a heavy hitter. You can do well and learn to be like him !!!

    went to iluvendo's profile page. and wow does he have some nice scenery. i'm still figuring out this site. lots to look at besides tech and news.

    food for the day? how do you guys post those pics? i don't have any handy but i can google the heck out of some health food. some of you people need it. sorry don't mean to offend, but you people talk a lot about red meat and fried foods. bad for you if you haven't read that in some sort of health magazine.
