    Just had ultimate home cooked meal. Old friends from Navarre Beach, Florida descended upon us for Mardi Gras. They brought a gallon of select raw oysters; with which we made Oysters Bienville and also raw oysters. Also brought 1lb jumbo lump crab meat for crab meat au-gratin and we had a beef tenderloin roast on the pit. Some St Michelle Cab and Merlot and nice green salad and corn and fresh French bread. Not to mention a King Cake! It's time to go to bed! LOL Life is good.

    @grandpaBW

    I also prefer 8/12 Jumbo Shrimp (something wrong with that term) over prawns. They are also fresher here.

    Ok, since you all did not like my grilled prawns, then how about griddle pan fried lobster on the half shell ?

    Yeah the gar likes his lobsters. But never had them griddle pan fried. Seems like that would overwhelm a lobster's delicate taste.

    Garmon,

    then you need to try it ! This is how they do the lobsters in Puerto Nuevo Mexico. Lobster crispy on the outside, and moist, juicy and tender (delicate) on the inside. Incredible !

    @greeny

    Don't worry about Endo, he'll run away if Jo just looks pi$$ed! Also the wife is still hungry for crawfish (my buddy who came with his wife for weekend festivities and I ate the leftover from Thursday, while they were parading Sat. LOL She was hopping for that tonight. So she is searching for CFish as I type. Kinda hope she scores!

    @Jo

    gm is correct, I'll try anything once. I actually had a bite of Chilean Sea Bass Fri at a restaurant(I hate fish) but it was good and didn't taste like fish. My daughter, a chef, cooked it to perfection I was told. The lobster does sound good.

    Edit: I don't know if we all get the same ad in every thread, but the one above for me were the same lady's face before and after wrinkle remover. In reality it looked like an after and before methamphetamine pics.LOL
