    Garmoon and I are in the same boat.....well, oven would be more like it. No rain in over a month, and getting baked outside. When the wind blows, I'm nowin a rotiserie oven.

    Jo is at her mom's place taking care of her (she is not doing well)

    Jo has never asked me where the beef was, she has only asked "where are you taking me to dinner ?"

    this thread makes me hungry Granpa B's blackened seasoning 2 1/2 tbs salt 1 tbs paprika 1 tbs onion powder 1 tbs garlic powder 1 tbs cayenne pepper 3/4 tbs white peper 3/4 tbs black pepper 1/2 tbs thyme 1/2 tbs oregano 1/4 tbs sage (optional) for poultry or fish mix ingredients together then coat your steak with melted butter sprinkle seasoning on both sides of steak refridgerate for 1 hr or more put on grill and cook until done mmmmmmmmmmm gooood

    I got a good basting sauce that's not spicy for bbq chicken and roasts and baby back ribs on the pit.

    1TBS minced fresh yellow onion, One stick butter,(brown the onions with a pad of the butter first), melt remaining butter and squeeze 1/2 to 1 lemon into sauce and Worcestershire sauce to strength you like. Won't burn and keeps the chicken nice and moist. I add hotter spices to sauce and anything can be added for your own taste.
