most people form asia in my school are in general maths classes or foundation. ( in Scotland you get Int2[lowest] Int1[highest for up to 4th year and lowest for between 5th and 6th year] and Higher[highest for between 5th and 6th year] then inside all of them there is 3 levels ( foundation, general and credit )

e.g. im in 4th year ( of secondary school [8-13] and im in a Int1, credit [5th highest credit class] E.g. the class number is S41C05

its all abit screwed up ¦-S

I was terrible at math in high school. But at college level, I excelled in math. A lot has to do with teachers. College professors at Abilene Christian University are the BEST. The other thing is your own motivation.

Do well now, while your young. Trust me, getting a degree, late in life, with a family to support is really hard to do.

Dont slack, work hard, it will be worth it in the end

This asian kid that went to my middle school was already in Algebra 2 in 7th grade (that's like four or five years ahead of everyone else).

High School rocks. Don't know how it was back in the day...but it's pretty good right now. Obviously girls are the best part ;) Damn when I get my license(couple weeks) I'm asking this chick I've been after for half a year to go out to a movie ;) The only part I really hate are those flabby ass wannabe gangstas trying to pick fights and they go around hugging guys's women, and then when they get the sh*t kicked out of them they go cry under their mommas wing. Hehe 2 day suspension for that one ;)

Asians start teaching math and science at a very young age, the don't develop the "math phobia" that Americans do.

I had to administer a math test to a Japanese girl once, she had 45 min to take it and, dope that I am, I forgot to give her scrap paper. She did every problem in her head in half the time allowed and got every question correct...twice as good as Americans WITH scrap paper. It makes no sense to think that asians are genetically better at math so there can only be one answer; being taught at an early age has kept fear of the subject away...in fact, children who are frequently exposed to foreign languages at an early age have a far better capacity to learn foreign languages a bit further down the road; why not the same for math?
