They have been downloaded quite a bit from Eamos D as said nice work. Now when are you doing one for the new box LOL
So they have ScOuser, just had a look there. This new EV is really just a cheaper version of the Black box, but if there is a demand for it, then why not a Tut. We'll see how it goes. I just need to get moving on another one for the PVR - more looking at the insides and attaching HD's etc., I have it started just busy at the moment and have not had a chance to finish it. Mayby next week. D
Only joking mate I am on holidays but like to stay up to date. Yours tuts are always welcome but like all of us its your time and much appreciated when you have taken the time to do them
hi scouser, I just got a ex5000 pvr and installed all the stations correctly but when i put the harddrive in the slot it says that it is full or not installed. i can hear it working and when i take it out it is hot. Is this a sofware problem? Any solutions?
Oh I know You need to carry out a recording first. The hard drive is full message is just a firmware glitch.
i will do this and i need to go to bed as im getting grief off the other half. so i will let you know what happens tomorrow. Thanks again scouser. you've probably sorted me out once again.
My EV 5000 works well, BUT: every few days some channel or other doesn't work, and it appears black with message "Scrambled Channel"; I can fix it by doing a manual scan for the channel frequency of that channel, but then the box updates the "new" channels it has found, and updates the CDF/Favorites, thereby upsetting some of my channel listings, and also adds some channels into favorites which I didn't want (e.g:Adult channels: I have kids!!). Why does it "lose" some channels, and anyway I can prevent this? Thanks
Hi scouser, Wel I've tried loading all the versions on the eamo's sitebut still have the same problem saying that there is no hardrive or it is full. and i can hear it working if i go close enough. Has anybody else have a similar problem with the firmware and is there a better version?
That is what it says when you have no recordings on the hdd. Once you press pause or record then this will dissapear as you will have recorded to the hard drive & it will show in the pvr.
Hello Probably been answered before but cant find it on any of the forums. Firstly I have the new Eurovox 5000 pvr. The problem that I have with this box is that if i record anything to the hard drive it registers in the pvr menu but when you try to play it back its as if nothing has recorded. Sometimes it works sometimes not. Also I have the eurovox maxv this was working fine until this week and some channels seem to have gone missing (my kids are not happy)had this box for only one year (arrived the day my daughter was born, that was a great day) surely it should last longer than that. Any help would be much appreciated
What make of HD are you using, I've had this problem with one make, the box looks like it's doing everything correctly - shows recording in PVR menu - but will not play back. Changed to a WD drive and everything then worked OK. D
with regards to this question, note the frequency of the channels that have stopped working, delete them, then do a scan with the same frequency in start and stop and then press ok, this should get the missing channels back
