Only thing I can think of is a factory reset and reflash with 1.1. BTW where did you get 1.1 from was it Eamos?

Also make sure you have it plugged into the direct feed when updating/scanning, i.e. no splitters.

The reason it is saying that is because its empty.
When you record something on the hdd it will dissapear.

I had my ev pvr this week and have found it is locking up occasionally overnight.
I simply turn off the power switch on the back and then back on again and this clears the problem.

I agree the pvr is no way as good as the Sly+ box, but its free!

Any ideas how to use live pause on the ev pvr or do you need to hit the record button to do this?

Still playing with the pvr and trying to remember what ive done! Lol

120GB is about the max they will work at 80GB recommended but using a 120 myself. 160 may be your problem.

Filmflex not really unless someone in your area orders it and you pick it up on a scan. PPV yes. What do you mean about the remote? Think your are Telepest.

    Thanks for that Sc0user,

I was afraid you might say that.. I might just hold on to the HD in the hope that one day we will see a bigger HD capability.
Thanks for yourhelp, it is much appreciated,

    Regards,

    Oliver.

    Hi Sc0user,
Certain v channels ask u to press the guide button etc?

I hope someone will redo the firmwarefor the ex5000 as it has a few bugs in.

Like using the remote to pause what you are watching!

YOU HAVE TO press the play button to pause what you are watching not the pause button as you would expect.
Remember this will also leave a recording on your hdd so remember to delete these occasionally or the hdd will soon fill up if your pausing live tv.

Actually with the v1.1 firmware, you press the Pause button to pause - it was changed around a week ago :)

howdy lads, not fond of pvr's,i dont even have a dvd/video recorder myself (everything on tv is repeated so much there's no need!!) but few chaps asking me questions about them.
how many channels can you record at one time and can you record different channels on different tp's as i see you can only watch channels on a same tp as you are recording,
is there a booster option like the max v?
i do understand there are still a few gremlins to be worked on but thanks in advance for any reply

Axxxo, from what i gather there is no booster on the new 5000pvr.
I have a prob with father in laws.
It worked fine here when i set it up for him, but when i installed it at his house a couple of miles away it did not pick up many channels.Even Beebec and eyeteev break up!
    I
I am trying to get to the bottom of this prob.
I have had to put a booster that he had lying around on it. Then it picked up a few more channels but most of them were poor quality and break up!
I have done a rescan, phoned tech, and am now about to try to get the line in moved up in the box if poss!
Some channels with 82% are breaking up, but on my box here they are ok at that strength.
When i phoned tech they said there was no booster on this box.
What a shame as i think there is one on the previous model.
Has anyone got info what to do next as it does not appear he can use this box at his home?
Next thing will be to reinstall the firmware!
What else should i try? Any ideas guys?
