    From what I've read it was OCZ's intention to aquire a flagship line of PSUs. Obiously you can still buy both brands. I think all of them recommended here by Sam and Lp are excellent and would like to own one for myself.

    Indeed. Some of the OCZ PSUs weren't exactly top notch, but most of them are pretty solid, including the stealthxstream which also has the advantage of being quite cheap.

    That's very cheap for that card, it's not as good as my X1900XT, but considering the price of rival cards, it's an absolute bargain!

    @fasfrank,
    Thanks for posting some pics. :)

    @ALL,

    Was doing some research and found that the PC Power & Cooling site sells there P/S. I didn't go thru the process but it let me go all the way to: Enter credit card # and press PAY. :D Has anyone looked at their prices or ordered from them directly?

    Nope...never ordered direct...they have the best price on the 610 that I have seen...$119...You can get the 750 Quad at ZZF cheaper...They have some good prices on Refurbished...they should be good direct from the factory...

My cuz runs it on win2000 and he says that it works fine. So he said! I A dim C521. Is that good it has:
    amd64 x2 4000+ (2.1ghz)
    160gb sata 2 7200 rpm dim,s
    16x dvd+/- rw
    1gb ddr2 sdram 667mhz - 2x512mb
    vista basic
    intel graphics media accelerator x3000 .....Wat is that?.....

    1. A mobo is short-hand for Motherboard, the main circuit board that interacts with all the components in a PC.

    2. As for Alcohol crashing, there could be many reasons, but it shouldn't crash because of a corrupt image file. However, I haven't used it on Vista myself, but it works fine for me in XP.

    3. Well, whether it's good or not depends on what you use it for. The CPU's OK, and 1GB RAM is acceptable, though not great, but the graphics accelerator is near-useless for playing games. Of course, if it's an office machine, that doesn't matter, but don't expect to play up to date games on it as it simply won't cope. Also, in having chosen a Dell system it'll be quite difficult to upgrade.

    That could be for any number of reasons. Check firewall settings, re-enter username and password, and check the service status.

    This will be the Downstairs Media Server...Will probably O/C it a bit since I have a M/B capable of it...It will have to playback HD Recorded Movies...This is Not my Gaming Rig...

    Do you think I even need to go with a Duo Core CPU?..

    If so...Which one would give the Best Bang for the Buck?..

    the 175 is by far the best stock, and will also overclock the furthest, but if you're going to push quite far, the 3800+ will still serve you well.

    So Sam...You think its worth it to go to the Toledo over the San Diego?..I wasn't considering the 175 until the price went down...

    it's up to you really, if you're going to be overclocking the underwear off it, go with the 175, hands down, but if you're just after a light overclock, you can get almost as good performance out of the lower end chips. All in all the 175 will perform better regardless, it's just a question of finance versus gain.

    Lp,
    The best bang for the buck is w/o a doubt the 3800 Toledo for $60. I've read that it will OC better than the 3800 Manchester even tho both are very good cpu's. NOW the Opty 175 is GREAT!!! I have a buddy with that exact cpu, btw he paid $200+ for it. LOL. He loves it and it performs just as expected from an Opty. :D

    Personally I don't think you can go wrong with either chip (processor) it depends on your pocket book at the time. You know that either chip will do just fine in your HTPC BUT it's so difficult to PASS an Opty for less than $120. :p
