It's still going. I would suggest a 8800 GT though.

Indeed, Viewsonic make nice monitors too, but the 226BW seems to be in a class of its own.

Success. I went back and reread all the books and removed the graphics card; rebooted and got into Bios. Hubby said I looked like the Cheshire Cat, grinning from ear to ear. Still brings a smile to my face. Will read up on Bios to configure the set up and then install all the cds that came with hardware. Should I go back to th original motherboard since it is better than this one, now that I know graphics card was the culprit? Ervine, that would be my tip to you. Don't install graphics card or any other cards until you have been able to access System BIOS. This was my first build and next time, I will just install MB w/ chip, HDD, and optical drive, fans; plug in monitor and KB and mouse and give it a whirl. Obviously, PSU too. Thanx to all who gave advice and encouragement.

Good stuff, we finally got there! That's a bummer about the graphics card being faulty, not something I've ever experienced.

8 gigs of RAM? What could you possibly need that much for?

Account closed as per user's own request

    Anyone know what happened?..

No need for 8 gigs of ram...windows 32 bit can only use 3gigs...

    NCIX's prices seem awful high...

I always enjoy my self at shows...its what I live for..:)

Not really a country music fan but it should be a good show...I will collect another Autograph for the Guitar...and the show is Sold-Out...so it will be a good payday...

    good call abhuzar.

vista can only use 3 gigs of ram? thats weak...

Prices are all in CAD. But considering CAD is now higher than USD, if you cna find a retailed with better prices from the US that would ship to canada, id go through them.

As for speakers, ill probably use headphones most of the time, so i didnt include any.
