What board are you looking at...link does not work?..
Remember I recommended diffrent momory...dual channel kit 2 sticks...you want to operate in dual channel mode...

    This is memory I recommended:
    CORSAIR XMS2 1GB (2 x 512MB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 675 (PC2 5400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145539

Is this the board you are looking at:
    Asus M2N-SLI-Deluxe NVIDIA Socket AM2 ATX Motherboard / Audio / PCI Express / SLI Ready / Dual Gigabit LAN / S/PDIF / USB 2.0 & Firewire / Serial ATA / RAID

I would not recommend an AMD cpu with SLI...if SLI is your goal go Intell...If you want the best bang for your buck...Go Intell

    lp531,
yes that was the board. it had alot of bad reviews from newegg. said that i would have to do alot of patching in order to get it to work great. i know nothing about that. i still am sticking with the memory you told me about. and still am looking into amd. sorry. maybe build 2 will be an intel. that is my original board just was worried about all the patches people were saying i would have to do to it. i want a board where all i have to do is take it out of the box and install everything with no problems. but i know there will always be something wrong somewhere. especially since this is my first build. if you think that my original board is still a good choice ill stick with it. i guess if i have any hang ups ill come to you again.

    thanks,
    taz1974

The memory you listed is not what I recommended...see my post above...that is what I recommended...dual channel kit...just want to make sure you do not buy a single stick...single channel...

Just took a good look at spec's...Do not like that it only has 1 IDE...can only run 2 optical drives...so no PATA hard drives...

Only 2 PCI slots...I prefer at least 3 PCI slots...not a very future proof board for the money...

However I do like ASUS motherboards...just not this one...the review at newegg did not scare me...you will have to do alot of what he was talking about on any board you purchase...

Liked the EPOX the best...3 PCI Slots...2 IDE Contollers...solid caps...don't really like layout...but thats not a deal breaker...

The last one you listed is for a micro ATX case...not a full size ATX case...

Let me take a look around and see what I can come up with...I'll get back to you tomorrow on that...

Do not see a mention of a PCI-Express Slot under specification...make sure you can add a video card to it...lots of the factory boxes do not have expansion slots...check before you buy...

The slot is on the MB...nothing listed here to tell me you could add any video card to it...the card is fine...at a descent price...I just don't think it will work with this computer...

I think nvidia 6100 is a form of integrated graphics. The mobo specs doesn't indicate whether or not there are any PCIe slots (I doubt it) or even AGP slots.

Its "Integrated" video chip...which means...you can not add a video card to this computer...Trust Me...
