Well refer back to my post lol. I put exactly the Same stuff as LP!

Intel is just simply better these days. Couple of years back and I would have NEVER said that but it's true now.

The E8400 is a Wolfdale chip. It consumes less power, makes less heat, has more cache and it overclocks better.

EDIT: I didn't look at your video card before. Get a proper 3870 with GDDR4 ram.

If you're paying this much, might as well do it right.

Intel is superior right now...thats all...

The one I chose is the Brand New Penryn...Faster...more cache...uses less electricity...overclocks farther...

"The Go (2)"...was for the memory...if you want 4gb...if the board supports it...I never looked at the spec's of the M/B...just make sure it has 4 DDR2 slots...

If your going crossfire...then the 750 quad P/S...

The A/C 7 Pro is superior...to the Zalman...

    And Boozer...Quit Copying Me...LOL..:)

And your going to need fans with that case...I listed some earlier on this page or the next...go with (3) of those...I got a feeling the (1) that comes with the case sucks...

Ah I half beat you again lol.

    What's goin on LP?

Rob, that CPU is excellent. As for the motherboard well I think you can do a little better. From what I've heard I can't put too much trust in Asus motherboards unless they are the 300 dollar versions lol.

This motherboard will do just fine.

ok thats some great info so
    OCZ Reaper HPC Edition 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800

    or

    Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066

since the processor you guys chose doesnt have HT technology (does that really do anything, my current build has it...)
    Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz

Rob boozer is right go with that Gigabyte and QUIT looking for something better!! :p

    @Bladerz05,
Rob's post was a question for him not directed at you. ;) Sorry for the mixup on his/our part. :D

The Crucial DDR2 1066 RAM they are directing you toward is GOOD!! I have the "Tracer" version of that RAM and it's frikkin great!!! :D

I don't understand the "want" for DDR3 RAM right now. It's way to expensive for the performance you get, well IMHO. ;)

Good luck with your build. :) btw which Lite-On are you going with?, you said something about pulling your present DVDRW.

I'm still saying don't go with that video card. In fact wait for a few weeks. Get the 3870X2 board with onboard crossfire. It's all on one card so you don't need a Motherboard with crossfire support.

LP, you stop copying me! lol

The first board does have Crossfire. That's why I said if you want you can get the video card that is basically two 3870s in one package and then not require a board with crossfire, which was my second pick. The first board does have crossfire though.

EDIT: Blade, what mobo are you talkin' about?

Skip the Reaper...go with the Crucial...

    I like that M/B choice...

I like the PC Power & Cooling...for its rear mounted fan...In this PC case...a down mounted fan...will be competing with your...CPU Cooler for air...Its really an air flow issue...its a more appropriate design for your choice of cases...

The AC 7 Pro is quieter...and trust me...its better...

    @boozer
thats the one you linked to..:)

    Bladerz,
Here's another suggestion for a case. ;) DON'T let sammorris see this post. lol.

    NZXT Apollo Black

Good case for the money and you can add a 120mm fan to the front if need be. ;) the EGG has plenty to choose from. :D
