Excellent news Rob (hope mine goes together as easily) - shame about the baby 14" CRT screen though lol.

Got my E8200 delivered about 30 mins ago, now just need to order the motherboard and Graphics (think Ive decided on the 2600XT 512mbGDDR3), case was ordered last night (after Id finished my expenses and realised I had about 400 quids worth of overtime coming at the end of the month :)), but im not going to be able to do the build for a fortnight anyway as im on hols shortly for a week or so.

Don't take the wifes flat panel, GET your own!!! hehehe. A new 17" or 19" would look nice with that setup. ;) Go ahead and splurge on a new $11 mouse and maybe a $20 keyboard. hehehe. :p

At least it only cost you $5. hahaha.....

Looks like to me that may be your GPU where the cpu core's are reading 42C. hmmmmmm.... Download >>>>>> HWMonitor<<<<<< and see what you get. Nice simple little progie. ;)

Ooh, that looks the business, I may be getting that for my PC, when I return to it tomorrow evening (God I miss it, having to use laptops that are barely powerful enough to render the desktop)

I wont turn this from the Building thread to the Firefox thread but here are two great add-ons that I cant live without.
IE Tab inside the fox and
    Foxmarks bookmarks across every computer!!!
All the builds around here are making me jealous I havent pulled the trigger yet but I'm waiting for Q9450 and a mobo to put it in!

If you get a Q9450 then there'll be a lot of people in here jealous of you, so things may yet turn around... :)

You're quite right. I dread reformats not because of the process of reinstalling windows but that of putting all my programsand drivers back... :)

Looks like you have the thermal control software reducing your multiplier. If you open a stress test program that should raise to the proper 9x.

As Sam said - plus if you havent overclocked the FSB it will only be at 333 anyway - as thats the stock FSB of the CPU.

It's something you're turning off, not turning on. Its in the BIOS.

Quite right sam. :) I ran ORTHOS (right after starting the progie the speed jumped to 3.0, I have the E6850 processor) for 6 hours last night just to see if it would give me any warnings or errors... NONE!!! CPU got to 50C and the motherboard never got over 40C, I was quite impressed!!

Rob try d/l HWMonitor and see if it gives you the same readings. I still say that's a little screwy with the cores. Mine run within a few degrees of the cpu temp and I have the exact same cooler you do so the readings seem off to me. I could be wrong but normally I'm just mistaken. heheehe. :p

Deadrum nice additions to FF, I like the download status bar too. Keeps that silly window from coming up all the time. ;) I added Chatzilla to one of my computers as well. Good alternative to mIRC but not as feature rich tho. ;)
