Now sammy don't go knocking his psu! :p He's gonna upgrade sometime soon but needed something cheap at the time and it just so happened that USPS delivered a surprise package to him. hehehe. :p

@CINCYROB the CompUSA here has a boat load of the 750 and 850 CM psu's plus a few of the Antec 850 and 1000 psu's too. :) I'm gonna buy one of the 4 if they get cheap enough. Do you want a 750 model if they get cheap enough?? They're $90 right now. ;)

Hey you want an AeroCool 140mm too. I'm very impressed after one day of use. They move plenty of air and are very quiet. Again sammy nice info. :D

Yeah, I've seen first hand how quiet they are. Two of those running is about how loud my entire gaming PC is, it's nice! :)
As for the CM unit, I'm not going to knock it, they're decent units, but a lot of people have moaned about how noisy they are, even on newegg (the home of people who think the Antec 900 is quiet on medium...). The quietest PSUs you can buy are the Seasonic S12 and Corsair VX/HX. The S12 and VX will start making a bit of a racket at 250W load (if your pc reaches that, mine certainly doesn't) whereas the HX remains whisper quiet until 400W.

well, no one will have a computer running over 400w load 24/7. What about TX versions?

I've not found anything to say how quiet they are, but I'd expect them to be quite similar at the same power levels. Use more than 500W though and they'll be as loud as the rest of them.

why does it get loud when it reaches certain amount of watts? Is it b/c it gets hot and the fan need to cool it down?

What utility do you use to check the temp of BOTH cores?

My cpu temp can go as low as 16c idle, default clock. but at 2.0ghz(200mhz increase) it's running at 24c idle?

i wouldnt advise you to not use any. you need something between the cooler and the CPU. you need that small thin layer of paste between the 2 parts. artic silver 5 is the way to go..

What I dislike about thermal glue is that once it's on there, it's on there, tough.

GTR: Yes that's right, the fan needs to spin faster to keep the PSU cool enough.

Thermal Glue is useful for Ram chips on Video cards and SOMETIMES southbridges, but that's about it.

sammy just shift it my way. :D

Oh wait a tick, that may be some English way of saying "sell". hehehe. :p

Anyone get one of the new Quads yet?? I'd like to know how they are performing. ;) With some of my cyber-friends using the Q6600 and liking those my curiosity has arisen for owning/testing a Quad. :D
