    ok i got the fan in. got it set on medium. cant hear it at all. i have it on the top of the case. you know where GM..lol looks sweet. still have the blue one on the front of the case

    got the IDE card in hard drive hooked up the mobo/windows installed it A-OK. i did notice a little icon on the task bar. gigabyte raid configure icon... do i need to do anything with that?
    i clicked it on and shows the 100gb hdd as slave. i guess its ok.

    i got the 100gb hdd formating right now can i install windows on it without makeing it master and the sata as slave?
    no big deal i got the case still wide open so i can get to everything.

    sam, you can have more the 4 ide drives in a pc as some boards has 3 & possibly 4 ide connectors for 6 to 8 drives. then you have your pci ide controller cards.

    cincyrob, change your boot sequence in the bios so that a rom drive is 1, the ide hd is 2 & the sata hd is 3. don't need to remove sata when loading xp onto ide hd but watch carefully when installing it that it goes to the ide & not to the sata.

    rob I'm a little confused and you know it doesn't take much. :p You want your 100GB IDE HDD to be your "OS" drive or the 250 SATA?? If it's the SATA then you need to set your 100GB to Slave and the SATA will do its deed. On the other hand if you WANT the 100GB drive to be your "OS" drive then you will need to set it to MASTER. You may have to go into the BIOS to set that drive (100GB) as the BOOT device as well but I'm not sure. Someone else mentioned that if I remember right. ;)

    You likey the Antec?? I have a GREEN one in my AMD build and you can't hear it at all... As a matter of fact you can't hear that computer when it's running at almost any time. It's whisper quiet with the Corsair psu, 2 case fans, and cpu cooler fan (Zalman ZM-F2) with the TR Ultra 90. :D

    @ALL,
    I need some help choosing a mosfet cooler for my mobo. Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P, I pretty much have the NB and SB heatsinks chosen but some quality input on the mosfet cooler would be appreciated. tia....

    Yeah, I don't think there are any jumpers on SATA drives.

    rob you can go ahead and set the 100 as MASTER now. ;)

    ddp normally MOD's don't have the time to answer questions and it's nice to get some "expert" help. ;)

    rob that might be your best bet. That way there's no question as to which HDD is getting the business. :)

    ddp,
