that sucks man, its like its teasing you!! LOL

the less power you strain through your mother board the better, it stays cooler and thus performers better, id rather take my power directly from the PSU then the MB! (although i guess the difference is minimal)

Pepp: heh, some fans can burn out the motherboard header because they draw too much current (i.e. Deltas), so it can happen!
Theone: That's what I was thinking lol, if you're impatient it annoys you more!

It IS annoying, if you guys have noticed I'm not the patient type lol.

First time I fired up my E6750 I went to the BIOS and put the clock speed to 3.6Ghz! I actually tried 4Ghz but it didn't POST with that.

tripplite is right, the box is just sitting there at the post office, TEASING me.

    sammorris,
It's funny you would think that when you get old, you would be less patient because you have less time! LOL!! Then again, the years of experience with the consequences of impatience teaches you not to be impatient! LOL!! One of life's little jokes on us! LOL!!

The "Retro" 2400+ simply amazes me. I originally left it at the "Optimal" settings until I went in and took a good look at them. The memory timings were "real loose". I set the memory to it's rated timings and it got even faster. To think, I could of had something like this 4 years ago if I had just been smart enough to buy good quality components instead of the junk I used to buy! Sure I would of had to spend more money, but in the long run I spent a lot more and got Less! ROFLMAO! Some of us learn very late in life! There's more to a fast computer than a fast CPU! This thing is so sweet! This coming from a man that owns a fast E6750! ROFL!!

    Best Regards,
    Russ

nah i still think its rubbish, others will disagree!

dell support is a little app that comes with all dell computers, its used to troubleshoot driver issues, re-download drivers, and it provides a FAQ for hardware installtion and such.....

    Abuzar: I know the feeling....
    Greg: Happy birthday mate!
Theone: Hmm, even so though, I always notice going back to a single core from a dual...
Tripplite: I don't think the X-Fis are poor quality, but they all do the same job and vary from a normal price to a stupid price, with no real gain for gamers.
I'd avoid the Dell version though, Creative's own software is much better.

i had a feeling i'd meet resistance! i find the line of audio cards to be of very low quality.....just my opinion!

well, I've not used one personally, but the normal SB Audigy cards (before they made them all X-Fis) were great, and I now use a USB 5.1 SoundBlaster which rocks.

Heh, okey dokey, what's your budget?
I hate to bring a downer on things but a gaming PC isn't going to be quite as cheap as an xbox, but they're much cheaper now than they used to be, and much better than xboxes graphically (at least they are for most titles)

    danny1969,
If you have the ability, you should build it yourself. It's not very difficult, costs less than a pre-built you wind up with exactly what you want and it's something you can do with your kid, together. I mean this is the Building Thread! LOL!!

    Best Regards,

I agree with theone's sentiment. Would you be happy to do that? You will get a much better PC out of it.
