    @gtr35

    if you are specifically looking for a 850w power supply (with headroom for future SLI upgrade) and complies with a mid-tower case for a perfect fit, check out the OCZ GameXStream 850w unit i mentioned here in the other thread.

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/19/87039#2596796

    it's standard size unlike many of the other 850w+ and higher models which are too long to fit properly into midtower cases.

    Oh yeah, and a cheap AGP graphics card for video editing, two screen?

    I guess this is in it.

    1 D0116 PROCESSOR, 80532, 3.2G, 512, 800FSB, SOCKET N
    1 U2424 CARD (CIRCUIT), PLANAR (MOTHERBOARD), DIMENSION, XPS-G2

    {{Original question was can I and how hard is it to upgrade to a dual or quad core processor.}}

    Thanks again.

    Is it possible to go 2 separate processors, if I upgrade my mobo?

    i dont know much about dual processor motherboards but I think theyre used mainly as servers and are more expensive than "normal" high end mobos. I dont think that would be practical for video/sound recording and editing. I cant really help you there.

    Best Buy doesn't have dell...want to use free $120 E coupon before it expires...22" is ok for size...Like the specs on 24" better...

    I am looking at SAPPHIRE 100186L Radeon X1950XT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814102067
    $249.99

    SAPPHIRE 100176U Radeon X1950PRO 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Ultimate Video Card
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814102070
    $209.99

    SAPPHIRE 100189L Radeon X1900GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO PCI Express x16 VIVO HDCP Video Card - Retail
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814102022
    $169.99

    Looking at 1900GT as a stop gap measure...would only buy 1...until X1950XTX 512MB DDR4 comes out.

    These are the cards I'm looking at...was thinking of waiting for X1950XTX with 512MB of DDR4...Is their much improvement over DDR3?

    the 2485 is a nicer vdu and would work great in a bright office environment, it also has the price tag to match. it is more future proof as it is hdcp compliant so you will get real hi-def if/when you move over to vista/hddvd/brdvd.

    well yes the faster ram gives better performance, how much and is worth the extra cost? thats upto you and your wallet. this will give you an idea of how much of a boost it will give you.

    Home/Office...so lighting is up to me...and I am a vampire.

    It will be in my bedroom...and will probably be used as a TV, alot...thats why I was leaning towards the 24"...and the 1080p resolution...

    Thanks for the link to the video card chart...I didn't know the X1950XTX 512MB with DDR4 had came out...

    it will look even better in the dark, but it is bright enough not to apear faded in the day time as well. they have a mad matt black screen which helps to reduce any glare too, pain in the arse to clean(so dont touch it or like i did squash a fly on it) but nice to look at.

    the main thing is the hdcp, and getting a card that is as well. im not sure if any more have come out since, but here is an article that lists the ones that are/were at the time of writing.

    thats why we are here, more than happy to help.

    take it easy.
