ok im lookin at my bios now
vcore=1.188
ddr18v=1.888
+3.3v=3.360v
+12v=11.858v
current system temp=39c
current CPU temp=36c

i got smart cpu fan control enabled
CPU smart fan mode in auto

dram timing set to manual
set at 4-4-4-12
set the mem volts to +0.3v(makeing it 2.1v)

hitting F10 to save.....

so should i run orthos on it now or wait?

which temps do ya go by in realtemp?im running orthos right now and if im reading realtemp right my max temp is only 53c
7 mins of orthos and all is well..yea i know its only 7 mins..lol

theonejrs..If thats the case how is my friend with The ATI All in Wonder card able to do it he has no other special functions all he does is hit play on his VCR and record on the ATI bundled software, which converts to mpeg then he uses specific programs to convert to DVD..I'm aware of all converting procedures (VOBs Mpeg AVI etc) ConvertX,TMPGEncDVDAuthor, Clone DVD AnyDVD etc. I just need a up to date card That will eliminate the scrambled effect or a card with a good program to modify with the same results

I included a few different choices just because we all like different manufacturers. I'm not sure on the ASUS P5K-E but some research will defend it or condemn it.. lol.

Everything on that list has RAID except the Gigabyte DS3L... I included it because it's such a solid board for the money and if you don't need RAID it's a great choice.

anyone got any ideas on that pci ? i had in device manager from above? i cant think of what it can be. i put in the install disc for my GPU shows everything as installed.

also ran dvd-reb.did a 7.43gb movie with 3 passes entire disc in 77 min. temps when it was running was only 55c as the highest i seen. and only used about 71% of the CPU....man i love a machine that can handle this stuff..lol

The all in Wonder is an older card and has that feature. Some of the newer DVDs won't play on it unless you can turn it off. I ran into that with the eMachine when I tried to play "The Golden Compass"! It wouldn't allow me to play it because I would be able to record it and shut down the program. I had to change video drivers to ones that don't support that feature just to watch it! Big Brother is watching! LOL!!

Try right clicking on the bottom question mark and then click update driver. It may have to do with your HD sound! I had that with the Rev. 1.0 MB! You might also put the MB disk in and see if all the drivers are installed. Just let it scan and it will tell you if something is not installed.

I chose the Asus over the BFG because it was in stock...

 

XFX or BFG close enough. lol. Didn't even notice that when I linked it...

How bout some of those mobo choices guys?? I know I'm opening a possible can of worms but there are some good ones for not much money on that list. W/O much debate or criticism is that ASUS mobo ok?? I still really like the DFI boards.

I've used XFX for a lot of years without any problems, always got my rebates and they are a pretty good company to do business with. The one time I did have a minor problem with my 7600GT, they promptly e-mailed me temporary software (it had a time limit of 5 days) to remove all existing video drivers and new Forceware and Coolbits to replace them with. I got the e-mail within 10 minutes!

I was in a similiar predicament prior to the release of the rampage formula. I almost went with the DFI LP LT X48. their bios's apear to be similiar to asus's. a DFI would be my second choice now. I got your back ole buddy. I don't think either a DFI LP LT X48 or LP LT X38 would be a bad choice.

you will need an aftermarket NB HS if you intend on using a TRUE or TRU. the base on the oem NB HS is too tall to clear those TR CPU HS's if you mount them the conventional way.
